You’d never know it was fall if you were judging by the weather, but in my home, fall is on full force. I recently discovered a new delight I’d like to share today- apple cinnamon stovetop potpourri!
Here is where technology fails me a little, because here is where I’d want to share the smell with you. It smells heavenly. The scent of cinnamon, apples, and spice fills up my little home perfectly, as I’m sure it would do your’s! Everyone who comes over when I have a pot on comments on how good it smells, and many think I have something delicious in the oven.
In addition to smelling great, it also works as a humidifier and is an alternative to air fresheners that contain chemicals!
Here is the recipe…
- 1 apple, sliced
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups water
Add all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and add water as needed (about every half hour or so).
A picture from our annual apple picking attempt- it was about 90 degrees, but we still got apples!
Do you do anything special during the beginning of fall?
Until next time, namaste. ❤
This sounds wonderful, I’ll have to try this! Thanks for the recipe! I like to use my essential oil diffuser with eucalyptus, pine, etc. The fall season is such a nice time.
